The Ø 203-mm analysis sieves have been redesigned (utility patent DE 295 12 879 U1), and now feature an improved self-centring seat in the sieve housing. The sieve frame and sieve deck are made of stainless steel.

Comparison table (Particle Size Converter A+B)

The sieves need to be inspected and cleaned at regular intervals. How often depends on the products being analysed and the sieve mesh width. The following constitutes a rule of thumb:
Sieves up to 63 µm: after every 5th sieving operation
Sieves up to 150 µm: after every 10th sieving operation
Sieves larger than 150 µm: after every 20th sieving operation or as necessary.

(If the air jet sieve is equipped with the automatic sieve identification feature, you will be reminded automatically as to when cleaning or maintenance is necessary.)
